This is How I begin

This is how I begin:

My mission start with building a network diagram for an organization called Test. It has the headquarters in Alberta and various satellite offices in other provinces of Canada. First I am going to build a network for headquarters. Alberta office should have 2 Domain controllers. I am setting up two almost identical Domain controllers for fault tolerance and better performance. If one crashes, we have another. Next I am going to build one Mail server and one proxy/firewall server.

2 VMware ESx Boxes

1.       Dell PowerEdge R710 Rack server

Processor: 2* Intel ® Xeon Processor 2.4 GHz

Memory: 12 GB

Hard disk: 6*148 GB SAS 3.5”Hot pluggable

Optical Drive: DVD +/- RW drive

Power Supply: High end Power supply (2 PSU) 870 w

2.       Dell PowerEdge R710 Rack server

Processor: 2* Intel ® Xeon Processor E5520 2.26 GHz

Memory: 8 GB

Hard disk: 4*148 GB SAS 3.5”Hot pluggable

Optical Drive: DVD +/- RW drive

Power Supply: High end Power supply (2 PSU) 870 w

 Note: Here i am going to configure only one ESX box later i will add another ESX to the network.

Raid configuration: Raid 5
